Chiswick Summer Fair
Summer Fair 2014
The ‘Summer Fair’ might seem to be but a distant memory but finally the accounts have been completed and it is good to be able to report that £11,449.16 was raised. This is a great sum of money which reflects the hard work of the organising committee, as well as the generosity of so many other people too. The Summer Fair is a happy and enjoyable day for our parish, and one that benefits the charities we support which this year were: Acton Homeless Concern, Cedars Youth Centre, Hounslow Extra Club, Mulberry Centre and Wormwood Scrubs Disabled Riding School. So thank you everyone who worked so hard, and gave their support to this event.
The Chiswick Summer Fair
The Summer Fair is an important event in our annual calendar and we would like to think that it is also, a significant date for the whole of Chiswick as well. The Summer Fair provides an opportunity for the whole community to come together and enjoy a fun-filled day, where they will find a variety of entertainment and activities, as well as a tempting selection of different foods and beverages. In recent years some 4,000 visitors have enjoyed the fair, and each year we raise nearly significant sums for local charities.
Not only does the Fair rely on the hard work and dedication of parishioners - as committee members and volunteers on the day - to make it happen, local businesses also play a huge part in its success. Year after year they generously provide sponsorship, staff, goods and services in support of the Fair.
