Important Initial Dates and Information

Sunday 14th October, 6.30pm Enrolment Mass for candidates and their parents / guardians, followed by a 30-minute talk in church.

Sunday 11th November, 1pm First Session: Introduction & The Holy Spirit (RISE Theatre)

The preparation sessions will be on Sundays in term-time (following Hounslow Borough and St Mary’s School term dates), usually between 4.45pm – 6.00pm, with a few exceptions (please see attached programme), followed by the Youth Mass at 6.30pm. Confirmation Candidates will lead the Youth Mass liturgies, including reading, singing, welcoming etc. Confirmation Candidates are expected to attend all sessions and all Youth Masses. Failure to meet this expectation may result in not being admitted to the Sacrament of Confirmation until a later date.

There is a £50.00 fee which covers the course materials, retreats and external speaker expenses. If this proves to be a hardship for you, then a lesser amount would be acceptable.

I consent to my named candidate on this application form taking part in this Sacramental programme. Other than those medical conditions mentioned above, and as far as I am aware, they are in good health. In the event of my child being taken ill or injured when I am not present, to the extent that they are to be taken to a medical facility, I give permission for the Catechist to share the supplied medical information and parental contact details with the medical practitioners. Protecting your privacy - Your personal details will be stored and used by the Parish for the purposes of conducting and administering the Sacrament of Confirmation. By signing below, you acknowledge that Church Law requires some of your personal data to be entered in Registers and stored permanently; and in the case of Confirmation the Parish is obliged to notify the parish where you were baptised, if different. Data may also have to be shared with the Diocese, e.g. in cases where certain permissions are needed.
